ドラゴンボールとのコラボ漫画。世界を旅する冒険家として登場。孫悟空から借りた筋斗雲をかなり気に入っている。途中に現れたピラッパギー一味をゴムゴムのバズーカ（とかめはめ波の合わせ技）で一瞬で退けている。

非常に好奇心旺盛で、大の冒険好き。「夢・信念・仲間」のためなら死をも恐れない。自分一人だけでは何もできず、仲間たちのお陰で航海ができていることを強く認識しており、それゆえ仲間のことを何よりも大切に思っており、仲間からの信頼も厚い。同時に自身が強くなることで仲間や友達を守り、大切な人達が離れて行かないようにと心掛けている。普段は豪放磊落に振舞う一方で、他者の感情の機微には極めて察しが良く、特にルフィ自身が夢を追い続ける性格であることから「夢が汚される苦しみ」を人一倍理解している。
